Lead Java Developer (DoD Clearance Needed)

We have a full-time opening for a Lead Software Engineer. The position will provide software development and test for embedded software and web/graphical user interfaces at the Tactical Electronic Warfare Department of the US Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington, DC.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Java software development on a Linux platform
  • Enhancement and upgrade of legacy applications into new user-facing web applications with advanced back-end micro-services
  • Development of the site concepts, interface design, and architecture of the website, including interface implementation through the entire development cycle to include technical requirements, development, testing, and deployment
  • Research, test, build, and coordinate the integration of new products per production and client requirements
  • Troubleshoot technical issues arising within the production environment and track/update progress via a Jira defect tracking system.
  • Ability to work in a cooperative team environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and schedules

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Minimum of 5 years' experience developing software in Java/Linux environment
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
