Viaduct is seeking a Senior Software Developer for a 3D Printing / Additive Manufacturing company located in Buffalo, NY.

As a Senior Software Developer, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, scaling and deploying software solutions, on premise and on the cloud, covering a wide range of technologies, with a specific focus on solution scalability, analytics, machine learning and security of customer data. The role of the Software Engineer is to build high-quality, innovative and performance software that complies with design and coding standards.
 
The successful candidate will have the ability to think strategically about our business and our customers’ success, while working in collaboration across all departments and all teams to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction to our growing list of global customers. 
 
Responsibilities:
 
● Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life cycle (SDLC)
● Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering projects with technical excellence 
● Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues 
● Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain web- and desktop-based business applications built on Microsoft technologies
● Provide technical leadership to junior software developers through coaching and mentorship 
● Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
● Develop documentation throughout the SDLC 
● Translate requirements into high-quality, testable, scalable software
● Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards 
● Assess opportunities for application and process improvement 
● Develop high-quality state-of-the-art algorithms 
● Agile/Scrum mindset in the software domain
● Understand emerging web and mobile development models
● Involvement with high scalability projects involving cloud-based infrastructure design and implementation
● Experience with Microsoft development tools and services (Visual Studio and Azure DevOps is highly desired)
● Experience with Cosmos DB, MongoDB 
● Demonstrated understanding of Object Oriented programming principles
● Good understanding of Web Services protocols such as REST, SOAP and API design for extensibility and portability
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
 
● Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
● 5 years of experience with .NET, C and Angular 2+
● 5 years of experience .NET and SQL Server, IIS, web development

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
● Windows development experience in the Visual Studio IDE is helpful
● Familiarity with ML.Net, TensorFlow or other similar deep net or machine learning packages
● Knowledge of database concepts, Web server maintenance, error log analysis, and code performance analysis
● Basic understanding of IoT communication protocols, web security, and software product lifecycle
● Experience in an early stage, high growth company is beneficial
● Knowledge of Additive Manufacturing is helpful
