Job Summary:
Responsible for managing and accountability for activities related to  Aleron and SDI International Corp companies’ Quality  Management Systems and compliance to the ISO Standards for certification purposes.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Creates, obtains executive approval for changes and implements new and revised versions of the quality policy statement, quality policy manual,  procedures manual, quality forms,  and other quality related documentation utilized by the companies, in accordance with ISO Standard requirements, our Quality System and the guidelines set forth by the company’s registrar, posts updates to the Quality Community in Connections and communicates effectiveness, suitability, adequacy and overall system performance to internal staff
  • Acts as the Management Representative, a liaison between  Aleron and SDI companies, its registrar and any outside authority that involves quality related certification and audit plans
  • Prepares statistics and analyzes the system’s performance results against goals for presentation to Executive Management at Management Review Meetings, determines areas for continual improvement based on trends, conducts audits as needed and promotes awareness of customer requirements throughout the company through audits and/or participates in team audits, contracts negotiation, evaluates effectiveness to close out Complaint Report Forms and  Process Improvements
 
  •  Facilitates and manages annual customer survey campaigns.
 
  • Lead Quality Auditor.  Manages the internal Quality auditing process, creates the audit schedule, approves audit reports, trains new auditors, reviews, analyzes, and monitors closure of audit results and effectiveness of corrective action and proposes changes to the quality program based on analysis of the root cause of audit shortfalls
  • Process any customer complaints to include a thorough investigation of the ultimate root cause and recommend appropriate corrective action(s) to remedy the complaint.
  • Creates and/or reviews and approves the training documents for all new staff on Quality procedures, programs, and policies
  • Conducts several training sessions to review updates that occurred within the last six months
  • Communicates with all levels of the organization regarding the Quality Management System, answers questions, provides general advice and guidance, and keeps company informed by controlling the Quality Community in Connections, issues a Spotlights to highlight new and changing events and/or to reinforce present policy and procedures. Communicates regularly with internal Corporate Departments, regional staff, and as needed, Customers, contract employees and vendors
  • Supervises, trains, and develops material for use by Quality associates and Internal Quality Auditors
  • Prepares branch staff for audit by Bureau Veritas Certification, through review of the audit expectations and preparation of required branch records
  • Monitors the timeliness of all processes within the Quality System, ensuring that proper response and action is taken within the time frame allowed by the system
  • Drafts suggestions following investigation with internal staff and obtains approval from Executive Management prior to implementation of continual improvements to the Quality System
  • Negotiates renewal contract with Registrar, Bureau Veritas Certification, in coordination with Contracts Administration and Executive Management
  • Provides responses to RFPs/bids where information of our quality processes, customer surveys or results of Goals and Objectives are requested by the Communications Department
  • Identify and monitor applicable Quality Policy Goals and Objectives for each company
Other Duties:
 
  • Oversees the preparation of Management Review materials for the formal meetings that occur twice annually
 
  • Creates staff training; schedules, and outlines necessary topics for training
 
  • Acts as a mentor and provides guidance to staff or train staff as needed
 
  • Comply and adhere to all ISO Standard elements and the Companies’ policies and procedures
 
  • Submit periodic reports to management as requested
 
  • Responsible for various other administrative and supervisory duties as directed by Company
 
  • Coordinates closely with all owners of a process during development of proposed changes
 
  • Include SDI on all quality form changes and coordinate with its quality representative for changes to the Quality Procedures Manual that may apply to SDI’s operations

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant experience
  • Prior industry/Quality experience
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office
  • Individual must be detail oriented, organized, possess good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Must be sensitive and respect the confidentiality of employee and company information
 
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Specific experience and understanding of ISO Standards, procedures, and system management
