Acara Solutions is currently seeking a CNC Machinist in Rochester, NY!
Under the supervision of the CNC Supervisor produce machined parts on 3 Axis HAAS VMC mills, and CNC router. Set up, and operate CNC machines while maintaining the machines as required and the quality of jobs and all safety standards.

Essential Functions
  • Perform tasks such as loading/unloading machines and deburring parts.
  • Attention to detail and handling material with care
  • Machining small production runs using CNC equipment as needed.
  • Use and read precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, Optical measuring machines, and gauges to check work and perform detailed inspection of parts being machined within specified tolerance.
  • Work as a team with other CNC Programmers/Machinists.
  • Wear proper safety equipment and comply with company safety rules at all times.
  • Willing to perform preventive maintenance on CNC machines on a daily and weekly basis including cleaning coolant tanks, maintaining coolant levels and the upkeep of tooling. Cleaning and general maintenance like emptying waste tanks or slurry buckets.
  • Excellent listening skills to follow detailed instructions given by CNC programmers and Supervisor.
  • Mechanical and technical capacity along with good Mathematical Skills.
  • Proven ability to successful multiple task in a fast paced, high throughput environment.
  • Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat and organized as per company guidelines.
  • Good hand skills since working with delicate parts and glass on a daily basis is required.
  • Dependable and able to work overtime if needed.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • HS diploma
  • Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with CNC set-up
