Acara solutions is looking for Equipment Operator for our Client located in Sacramento, CA.
  • Sets up and assists lower level co-workers coordinate with production for all the car movements.
  • Performs tasks that knowledge of a combination of processes, procedures, operation and equipment.
  • Duties may consist of, but not limited to, unloading the car shells, using the lifting jacks.
  • Moves Rail Vehicles on site from one location to another with Transporter and Tamper.
  • Supports water test on car shell and Rail Vehicles with forklift.
  • Drive Truck (five ton) to transport material locally.
  • Prepares Rail Vehicles for shipping.
  • Prepping flat car to ship Rail Vehicles.
  • Loads Rail Vehicles on to the flat car or truck trailer, following the proper procedure.
  • Secures Rail Vehicles to the flat car with special tie down method and material.
  • Trains and provides work direction to other workers regarding loading and unloading methods, sequences and procedures.
  • Installs bolsters on car body and installs bogies on vehicle.
  • Candidates should come from Heavy Equipment Operator(s): Ex: Backhoe, Bull Dozer, Front end loader, drilling rig, oil or gas industry, logging/lumberjack, crane operations, military motor T (motor pool/weapons relocations) commercial/industrial construction using equipment with multiple, complex hydraulic and electrical controls.
  • Vast knowledge of safety in regards to heavy equipment operations, vehicle, rigging inspections, load leveling, center of gravity, awareness of surroundings while operating and spotting heavy transport.
  • Solid safety/work ethics.
Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as Equipment Operator.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of industrial tools related to this type of work.
Additional Information:
  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • To walk long distances on concrete in steel toe safety shoes, able to lift heavy pieces of supporting equipment and production parts.
  • To work in team environment and alone without supervision.
