Description

Acara Solutions is looking for Staff Accountant for our client located in Budd Lake, NJ
  • The Staff Accountant will assume a general accounting role in the processing of general ledger activity and other accounting duties.
  • Our ideal candidate will be expected to adapt quickly and handle a significant amount of responsibility.
  • This position will report directly to our Accounting Manager and work closely with members of our organization.
  • Process general ledger and subsidiary journals
  • Assist in general ledger account reconciliation
  • Process A/R, A/P
  • Cash Forecasting
  • Prepare Monthly Progress Billings
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries
  • Assist in month end close process
  • Work on special projects
 
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in an accounting or finance role with a strong working knowledge of accounting processes and functions.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Previous GL experience
  • Assist with A/R and A/P and in the preparation of financial statements
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Experience with MS Office and strong working knowledge of Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to pick up and take on tasks with minimal direction.
  • A self-starter who can be a positive presence in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems. (DELTEK Costpoint)
