Description

Acara Solutions is looking for an Technician I Engineering - Products/Process for our Client located in Dallas, TX
  • As a Product & Test Engineering Technician, the successful candidate will support engineering with complex engineering duties and hands-on tasks relating to the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of infrared products. 
  • With product responsibility, the successful candidate will conduct tests, troubleshoot problems,
  • analyze data, recommend product improvements, and maintain documentation, all with the goal of developing the best infrared sensor technology in the industry.
  • Create and maintain return material rework summary and unit reports. 
  • Colaborate with team members to ensure that rework material turn around times are being met.
  • Under direction, set up and conduct tests of units and components.
  • Analyze test results related to the design and test objectives and adjust equipment to bring within
  • specifications
  • Record test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in
  • product or test methods
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in existing products or systems
  • Under direction, responsible for completing process documentation, bill of materials, route sheets, etc
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as Technician I Engineering - Products/Process
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Experience with lab test equipment: O’Scopes, generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Light meters
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experienced user of MS Office suite to include Word and Excel
  • Data collection, test and troubleshooting ability
  • Familiar with environmental testing to include vibration, temperature and EMI
Additional Information:
  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Lifting – Ability to lift 25 lbs less than 5% per week or up to 20% per year,
  • Walking, Bending, Stooping, Kneeling etc.)
  • To lift 25 lbs. less than 5% per week or up to 20% per year
  • WORK CONDITIONS (E.g. Travel – Up to 25% per year)
  • Up to 90% of time candidate will work in an Engineering Development Laboratory
  • Up to 10% of time candidate will be in a 100K Clean Room environment. 
  • Able to wear a full cover hood, smock, safety glasses, gloves, and shoes
