Description

Acara Solutions is looking for an FPGA Design Engineer for our Client located in Dallas, TX
  • The individual will be a member of the FPGA development team of client" Electro Optics and Imaging Systems (EOIS) division, and will interface with other team members representing a wide range of disciplines. 
  • In this role, the new hire FPGA design engineer will support the design, development, and test of Infrared Sensors. 
  • The key responsibilities are the following: participate in requirements analysis, RTL coding, test bench design, verification, synthesis, place and route, timing closure, Design Verification Testing, and the generation of FPGA design documentation.
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree (BSEE or BSCE)
  • Minimum of 1 year experience  as an FPGA Design Engineer
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Familiar with Windows / Linux OS
  • Good listener and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ambitious, dedicated, and goal-oriented
  • Understanding of digital logic and architecture concepts, techniques, and course work
  • Basic knowledge of HDL/HVLs (e.g. VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog, UVM) and
  • programming/scripting languages (e.g. C++, Perl, Python, TCL)
  • Good lab and debug skills
  • Ability to multi-task in an evolving engineering environment
 
Additional Information:
  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Lifting - Ability to lift 25 lbs less than 5% per week or up to 20% per year, Walking, Bending, Stooping, Kneeling etc.)
