Acara Solutions is recruiting for an Accounting Associate/Bookkeeper for a well-established CPA firm in the Buffalo area. The Accounting Associate will oversee all bookkeeping for the Client Accounting Services department. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience with QuickBooks Online, strong analytical skills, and detail oriented. This position could be full or part time depending on the preferences of the candidate.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Work within and client training of QuickBooks (Online & Desktop Versions)
- Comprehensive Working Knowledge of Accounting, Bookkeeping & General Ledger Review Processes
- Bookkeeping for numerous monthly write-up clients
- Live and After-the-Fact Payroll Processing
- Payroll Tax Computations
- Payroll Tax Electronic Payments - Both Federal & State
- Quarterly & Annual Payroll Filings to include W-2's & 1099's
- Monthly work done in all versions of QuickBooks
- Detailed General Ledger Review and necessary adjusting journal entries
- Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations
- Preparation of GAAP Financial Statements to include Cash Flows
- Maintain excellent communication with clients to ensure expectations and deadlines are being met

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Accounting degree desired
- Dedication to the firm and the clients
- The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax law
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong decision making skills, ability to work independently, and the ability to meet time constraints and deadlines
- Required Experience with QuickBooks Online

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Required Experience with QuickBooks Online
- 4+ years bookkeeping experience at a CPA firm
