Description
Acara Solutions is looking for Senior National Safety Coordinator for our Client located in Salt Lake, UT.
- Promoting safety programs to ensure safe work practices
- Creating and conducts remote and on-site training in all aspects of Safety
- Providing support of timely reporting and investigating of all reported safety incidents as well as trend analyses to determine root cause issues
- Inspecting and audits NOAM plants to identify and address potential safety hazards and to ensure compliance with Safety policies and procedures
- Assisting NOAM plants in creating responses to all governmental bodies
- Managing and audits contractors on site (as needed)
- Ensuring internal HSE policies and practices are current and appropriate
- Scheduling regional Safety meetings/program reviews across all locations
- Providing leadership, coaching and mentoring of other Safety team members
- Addressing specific reporting and record keeping requirements of OSHA, EPA, as well as other pertinent safety/regulatory compliance as directed by EHS Manager
- Acts as substitute for EHS Manager, as needed

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years" experience in Industrial Safety.
- Minimum 2 years of experienced in multi-site leadership.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) at minimum, CSP, CHMM, CIH, CSHM.
- Advanced knowledge of general industry and industrial practices, regulatory agency requirements and industry standards
- Outstanding communication skills
- Excellent computer skills required with strong proficiency in MS PPT, MS Excel
- Ability to handle multi-task environment with good organization skills
- Skilled in producing reports, good knowledge of data analysis
- Attention to detail
Additional Information:
- Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
- Willing and able to travel up to 60% on a regular basis
