Acara solutions is looking for Accounting & Administrative Assistant for our Client located in Manchester, MI
  • Provides administrative support to R&D Lead Team, including maintaining calendar(s), scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements as required while maintaining confidentiality
  • Keys and scans monthly journal entries in SAP. Writes up basic cost center reclass journal entries, as needed
  • Creates, edits and maintains reports, presentations, correspondence, matrix, spreadsheets, databases and learns new software as needed to support the R&D management team.
  • Updates and shares open PO commitments report and provides follow-up on aged items
  • Provides support with Sarbanes Oxley compliance audits
  • Reconciles Purchasing Card statement monthly and submits for approval
  • Organizes and manages a diverse range of assignments and projects with high efficiency and thorough attention to detail and follow through; versatile and able to adjust to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Orders and maintains an inventory of administrative office supplies and maintains database of idle office equipment to support cost savings initiatives
  • Monitors and maintains office workspace organization and ensures cleanliness and safety standards are shared and utilized in the mezzanine
  • May be required to work overtime to meet assigned deadlines and travel on an infrequent basis
Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration or Secretarial Science with expertise in computer software applications
  • Minimum of 5 years administrative assistant experience with executives or senior level managers
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office and Visio experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, dependability and high initiative organizing and prioritizing workload
  • Ability to maintain and deal with confidential information.
  • Must be well organized, possess outstanding administrative skills, with ability to interface with all levels of management
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision to organize and meet assigned deadlines
  • Excellent capacity and desire to quickly acquire and retain new knowledge or skill
