Description

New R&D Engineer role in Buffalo, NY is available through Acara Solutions. 
You’ll be part of strengthening the medical device innovation backbone at the organization by managing product development projects across disciplines.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or science field
  • 3 years of practical experience in the neurovascular, cardiovascular, or related medical device industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Project, Visio
  • Proficient with SolidWorks preferred.
 
Once you are here:  
  • Design, prototype and evaluate endovascular devices using the principles of engineering.
  • Design and develop custom test methods to effectively evaluate medical devices. 
  • Perform product testing with physicians to evaluate devices for performance and usability.
  • Design and develop manufacturing processes for a medical device. 
  • Advanced knowledge of FDA requirements associated with the development of medical devices (e.g. Quality Management Systems, Design History Files, Regulatory Strategy)
  • Establishes test protocols specified by customer input, national and international standards, and
regulatory requirements.
  • Strong utilization of project leadership skills to effectively lead a multiple tasked and cross-functional team projects to completion.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles to effectively complete assignments and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Ability to generate an action plan and estimates requirements for resources – management, tasks, budgets, labor, materials, and time required to complete projects.
  • Prepares communication in weekly reports, status updates, detailing progress and costs for management.
  • Applies critical thinking to all tasks and offers solutions to improve processes
 

OTHER JOB DUTIES

  • Interaction with engineers, physicians, scientists, and researchers
  • Leads the development of technical protocols and reports
  • Improve/support existing processes
  • Support 3D printed model manufacturing operations


Target Range $ 75-80K
