Acara solutions is looking for Medical Licensing Specialist for our Client located in Burr Ridge, IL
  • The Medical Licensing Specialist is responsible for understanding medical licensing requirements by state and managing the Company"s licensing process to ensure compliance. 
  • Position interacts regularly with multiple internal/external clients at various levels of the organization including quality, legal, corporate officers and officers" assistants.
  • Communicates with each states Board of Pharmacy Representative for every PDI & LGNA location to ensure the Company has the proper medical licensing to manufacture and distribute medical grade gases.
  • Manages licensing updates upon any & all manager change, officer change, location change, & corporate change.
  • Manages license renewals making payment for facility licenses and manages license classification changes, gathering information from the State to determine what license to apply for/renew under when the State has made changes to their licensing regulations.
  • Conducts research for new applications that pertain to facility needs working closely with due diligence/integration leads, managers, BOM"s, and quality managers to ensure all information is collected to submit for State"s board review & inspection; selects the correct license for products being distributed and requests check from Accounting to include with the application(s)
  • Communicates with PDI/LGNA facility manager, officers, directors & owners to obtain personal information, signatures, fingerprints, and permission for the State to review background checks.
  • Communicates with Corporate/Senior legal representative & risk management to ensure all information requested by the State Medical Board are answered to Corporate standards and review for approval prior to submission including ownership status, liability insurance, surety bond and Secretary of State documents.
  • Frequently communicating with field managers to ensure distribution has or has not changed routes into new states in which require medical and food licenses, 
  • Manages process of obtaining Medical Survey Questionnaires and provides updates and seeks approval for a start up or shut down of distribution.
  • Maintains database for PDI & LGNA to include updating license expiration dates, printing facility cover letters to ship license, ensuring facility contacts & phone numbers are current, etc.
  • Maintains Medical Licensing in Perceptive Content (internal database) for PDI & LGNA
  • Manages FDA Food Registrations, adding information into the FDA Food Bioterrorism Act portal for any facility housing, manufacturing or distributing food grade product and renewing all FDA Food registrations bi-annually.
  • Maintain and update JDE Medical Matrix for PDI & LGNA facilities with the proper access to make transactions into States, ensuring which locations can/cannot enter which states with medical grade product
  • Completes reports as necessary from internal database for QA managers upon request
  • Other duties as assigned
Pay and Benefits:
                      The salary for this position is $
18.00 per hour (Pay rate).
Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED 
  • Minimum of 2 years" experience in Medical Licensing Specialist

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Punctuality and dependability
