Acara Solutions is hiring a Supply Chain Commodity Specialist for our Livermore, Ca based business partner. 
.
Pay Range: $45/hr. to $50/hr.
.
This will initially start as a Remote Position until the Livermore County is cleared to increase population in the facility, around December 2021, then it will be On-Site, Maybe.
.
The Supply Chain Commodity Specialist is an individual contributor that supports within the Strategic Commodity Team with core responsibility to support some key initiatives in the Build to Print Fabrication Commodity (Power Supply, Electrical Components). 
.
This position has the potential to be converted to a full-time position in the future. 
.
Incumbent must work very closely with Strategy Commodity Managers and Cross functional teams to meet Commodity objectives. 
.
Portfolio also includes developing integrated project plans for business process improvement, including implementation schedule, end user coordination and all necessary information requirements of a project and/or Materials related initiatives.  
.
In this position, you will be responsible for both strategic and tactical management of SC related projects end to end.  This position will support the Commodity Team for assigned projects for Supply chain operations.
*           Define and monitor supplier performance indexes
*           Ensure supply chain and material readiness to support transition requirements (product and factory transitions)
*           Manage merge in transit process and execute to supply chain strategies (material, inventory, capacity, recovery etc.)
*           Support cross-functional teams/ manage task force activities in support of critical supplier recovery and support plans
*           Develop program/project plans and oversee from conception and planning to implementation, including strategies, processes, and resources. Ensure that objectives are clearly defined and agreed to across the organizations.
*           Manage program scope, schedule, resources (manpower and controllable budget) and risks. 
*           Interface and coordinate with internal customers to define objectives, provide status updates, and prepare for release and deployment.
*           Work closely with engineering and suppliers to resolve complex problems to ensure on time delivery of critical material to support customers and company requirements. 
*           Monitor product cost preventing negative PPV and supporting cost reduction efforts
*           Any other duties as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor
*           Knowledge & Experience in Build to Print Fabrication and Power Box & Electrical Component assembly
*           Excellent knowledge of logistics program management including previous experience working with supply chain and a thorough understanding of best practices.
*           SAP knowledge is a MUST
*           Highly competent communicator who can successfully interact with cross functional teams, sponsors, management, and business partners
*           Proven ability to identify project objectives and project approach to achieve business needs
*           Develop program/project plans and oversee from conception and planning to implementation, including strategies, processes, and resources. Ensure that objectives are clearly defined and agreed to across the organizations.
*           Interface and coordinate with internal customers to define objectives, provide status updates, and prepare for release and deployment.
*           Effective negotiation and interpersonal skills
*           Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
*           Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Access, Visio, and PowerPoint

 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or Business-related field
5 Years Experience in Supply Chain Operation and Planning Management
5 Years Build to Print Fabrication and Power Box & Electrical Component Assembly
5 Years Logistics Program Management 
5 Years SAP 
5 Years MSO

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Technical Program Management
