Description

Acara Solutions is looking for an Component Assembler for our Client located in Georgetown, ON
  • The incumbent of this role is responsible for performing operations in preparation, combination, connection, and fabrication of various parts into heated components. 
  • In this role, the Component Assembler will provide assistance to other Assemblers or other production personnel 
  • Ensure that all heater element parts received are correct to given specifications or blueprint;
  • Position and attach hardware, such as element, stake, and wind element to component as per Job Instruction Sheet;
  • Prepare part for the brazing process or plasma spraying as per product requirements;
  • Aerosol seal to exclude moisture, add wires, assemble ceramics, seals, and the terminal end cap;
  • Identify assembled component and etch information as required on the product as per JIS;
  • Conduct multiple inspections (3-way, heat, alcohol) to verify compliance of assembled component to the applicable part lists, blueprints, test sheets and JIS;
  • Build, assemble and prep other products to proper specifications required as per JIS;
  • Conduct minor preventative maintenance procedures as scheduled;
  • Complete minor troubleshooting 
  • Observes and listens to operation in order to detect malfunctions such as worn or damaged tools when possible;
  • Notify Team Leader when run times are incorrect or product will not meet time lines;
  • Ensure machining tasks are completed in accordance with specified run times;
  • Report discrepancies to the appropriate department;
  • Provide guidance and training for apprentices 
  • Make recommendations for productivity and method improvements;
  • Ensure ISO guidelines are followed; follow Job Instruction Sheets and Tag Procedures;
  • In this role the Component Assembler will construct individual and prefabricated parts using automatic machines, equipment, hand, and power tools. 
  • In addition to helping peers when needed, the Component Assemblers must be capable of coordinating work to meet customer delivery times.
  • With instruction from the JIS, the incumbent of this role is responsible for the safe set up and operation of assigned equipment/tools.
  • Providing services and support to customers and suppliers
Pay and Benefits:
  • The Salary for this position is $ 16.60 per hour (Max Pay rate).
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 months" experience as Component Assembler
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • With varying experience and skill, the Component Assembler works with some supervision of assigned tasks; 
  • The incumbent of this role must be capable of working as a team in the machining process.
  • To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and accept responsibility for the accuracy of the work completed. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and good manual dexterity 
  • The incumbent must be capable of reading and interpreting documents such as safety policy and procedures, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. 
  • A mechanical aptitude, ability to apply common sense and problem solve involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • In order to successfully meet Mold-Masters Limited requirements, an incumbent will need some basic knowledge of basic hand and machine tools in order to assemble components to proper specifications.
  • To read/interpret blueprints and job instruction sheets; ability to work well on own; and basic hand tool proficiency;
  • In this role, the employee must set up monotonous process equipment, follow Job Instruction Sheets and adjust machinery and equipment
  • They may also operate robotics and fixed automation equipment.
Additional Information:
  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the individual will be in contact with manual machinery and equipment. 
  • There may be contact with coolants/oils; noise level is moderate; safety boots and eye/ear protection are required; the working area is climate controlled; working with small dimensions means extreme concentration on details with tight tolerances.
