Description

Acara Solutions has an Supply Chain Business Manager opening for an semiconductor company in Tualatin, OR. 
  1. Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials purchases.
  2. Obtain materials using engineering and production schedules to maintain inventory at planned levels (i.e., Just in Time purchases, use of EOQ - Economic Order Quantities)
  3. Reviews and analysis purchase requisitions
  4. Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner
  5. Processes purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers
  6. Creates and maintain bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise wide systems.
  7. Ensures material standards are met and non-conformance or variances are approved and/or minimized
  8. Develops specifications for new contract orders
  9. Gathers quotations, examines bids and makes awards
  10. Monitors cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value
  11. Evaluates vendor reliability and develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive
  12. Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise wide systems
  13.  Participates in maximizing the procurement teams changes, part parameters; quote table maintenance, supplier database information, error report analysis, and part number/supplier code information
  14. Performs cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities (e.g., materials, components, equipment and services). Monitors the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to negotiate highest quality at best value
  15. May recommend cost saving proposals including make versus-buy analysis or alternative sourcing. Interacts closely with suppliers and QA to resolve quality issues.
  16. Works with management to address all aspects of commodity management, including procurement support, commodity business plans, market trends assessment, pricing, and product availability. Requires domestic or global expertise of assigned commodities.
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or about to graduate and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; an advanced degree without experience; equivalent work experience
Understanding of MRP, BOMs, and Purchase Order lifecycle
SAP Knowledge
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook is highly desirable
Minimum 2 years Buyer/Procurement Supply Chain Management 

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Excellent Problem Solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, logistics or related technical discipline
Candidates with previous work experience in a highly technical environment managing commodity, procurement, contracting, materials, and operations encouraged to apply
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
