Acara Solutions is looking for an Technical Specialist for our Client located in Runnemede, NJ
  • This role carries responsibility within PSC's High Voltage Switchgear & Circuit Breaker product lines.
  • Participate in all aspects of converting legacy bills of a material and ordering information from a production factory manufacturing environment to an outsourced job shop business model.
  • Firm grasp and understanding of multi-level indented bills of materials for manufacturing and ordering purposes.
  • Capable of reading mechanical manufacturing drawings for ordering purposes.
  • Capable of reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for the purposes of obtaining additional information for ordering.
  • Create bills of material tailored and organized in the manner for parts super center to order and finish assemble product and kits in house.
  • Utilize historical purchasing and customer ordering data to make recommendations for minimum, maximum, and reorder points for stocking levels of individual components and multiple item kits to satisfy customer demand.
  • Work with distributors and manufacturers to obtain price and lead-times for parts and assemblies.
  • Propose product configurations and substitutions to maximize fill rates while simultaneously minimizing inventory stock levels.
  • Review effectiveness of prior stocking level decisions and course correct when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Technical Specialist
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering 
  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Process improvement experience
  • Strong, pro-active communicator and passionate team player
  • Highly self-directed
  • Competent in the use of the Microsoft office software
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • To interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
  • Ability to use sound judgment and problem-solving skills to analyze customer problems and to recommend the proper course of action.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize job projects and requirements.
  • Familiarity with tubing, pipes, valves and fittings including pressure classes, ratings, attachment methods in order to specifying ordering information and determine commonality with existing inventory.
  • Familiarity with standard hardware fasteners including styles, finishes, and strength ratings (grades) to determine appropriate ordering part numbers from industry-leading suppliers and to also determine commonality with existing inventory.
