Acara Solutions is looking for a Components Engineer for our Client located in Northampton, MA.
  • Work with engineering, purchasing, and our CCA manufactures to handle EEE part availability issues and lead resolution of technical issues
  • Be cable of orchestrating engineering changes involving EEE part changes
Pay and Benefits:
  • The salary for this position is $70.00 per hour (Max Pay rate).
Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years" experience in Component Engineering

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Capable of identifying alternate parts (mostly commercial) due to obsolescence and part availability issues
  • Familiarity with electrical, electromechanical part technology from the 1980s to present as needed
  • Familiarity with military standards and commercial parts
  • Be capable of reading electrical schematics and performing some analysis for the purpose of determining alternate parts suitability
  • Familiarity with PWB artwork and resolving PWB issues with vendors is a plus.
  • Capable of using computers and relevant software programs such as Excel, Word, Visio
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as needed.
