Description

Acara Solutions is looking for an Associated Engineer 2 for our Client located in Waltham, MA.
  • The Associate Mechanical Test Engineer will be part of the Product Engineering team, responsible for the successful execution of test processes using custom mechanical tools, fixtures and equipment.
  • You will be a technical resource having responsibilities throughout the product lifecycle, such as assisting with the development test specifications, functional test equipment and process development, performing component and system-level testing, collecting, analyzing, and reporting results.
  • In the use of simple subsystems, fixtures, performing mechanical testing, tolerance analysis, and reliability testing
  • Identifying and documenting test results, and formulating conclusions.
  • This is a collaborative opportunity where the individual works with and supports other engineers, functions, and teams as needed.
  • Ideal candidate has performed mechanical testing, mechanical component and assembly inspections using standard measurement tools.
  • Mechanical and electromechanical test execution using fixtures, work support, and mechanical inspection tools
  • Provide detailed test results and reports.
  • Presenting test results, conclusions and recommendations to subject matter experts and engineering leadership
  • Inspect and document parts using basic hand tools (caliper, micrometers, height gauge, and comparator).
  • Develop test protocols, test scripts, assemble mechanical components, perform engineering tests, and prepare detailed reports based on results of verification and qualification tests.
  • Applies analytical and problem-solving methodologies aimed at guaranteed-by-design implementation.
Pay and Benefits:                                                                                                 
  • The salary for this position is $ 27.00 per hour (Max Pay rate).
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years" experience in inspecting mechanical parts using standard measurement tools

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor"s Degree
  • Good analytical, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • You have a working knowledge of mechanical engineering design principles and machine design in regulated environments, preferably medical devices.
  • Experience testing robotic systems.
  • Experience with CAD software, Solidworks.
  • 1+ years of experience in medical device industry or regulated environment experience
  • Experience with plastic part design, injection molding, part inspection processes and tools
  • Experience using test and measurement software tools such as LabView, Python, or MATLAB
  • Experience in the use of CAD tools (SolidWorks)
  • Job duties limit working remotely. 100% on-site work expected.
