Acara Solutions is looking for an Integration/Test Engineering - Contractor - L4 for our Client located in Rochester, NY.
  • The Assembly Integration and Test Focus factor for Client is looking for an Experienced Test Engineer.
  • This candidate would be responsible to maintain, setup, and operate a large mechanical test facility.
  • This position is to provide engineering support services to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity associated with the design and test of highly complex optical sensing spaceflight hardware utilizing basic technical standards, principles, theories and concepts to develop and execute test plans and procedures.
  • Supports preparation of the test environment and is a contributor to Test Readiness Reviews as well as responsibility for reviewing and validating test results against requirements.
  • Follows established procedures and specific, detailed instructions and guidance from more senior functional staff.
  • Interacts with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for space-bound products, systems, components, or modifications.
  • Testing can be related to vibration, shock, acoustic, modal and static load.
  • Ultimately delivers thoroughly tested aerospace products, equipment and systems with supporting documentation to the customer (internal and external) complying with specifications and production requirements.
Pay and Benefits:                                                                                                 
  • The salary for this position is $ 45.00 per hour (Max Pay rate).
Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor"s Degree
  • Minimum 6 years" experience as Integration/Test Engineering - Contractor - L4

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Typically viewed as having a specialty within discipline
  • Have broad knowledge of project management
  • Working knowledge of typical vibration, acoustic, shock, static load related or industrial instrumentation and data acquisition systems; i.e. strain gauges, accelerometers, microphones, pressure transducers.
  • Demonstrated Mechanical Test lead experience
  • Good communicator, written and verbal communication a needed within and outside of function.
  • Ability to develop and execute procedures, document results, effectively communicate orally and in writing.
  • Able to generate detailed technical reports, data reduction for requirement verification.
  • Willing to work overtime, shift work (nights) or extended shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Proficient with MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint.)
  • Proficient in MatLab
  • Experience with high reliability, aerospace products test and verification
  • Experience in an Electrical/Mechanical/Optical discipline in the Aerospace or Defense industry
  • Ability to deliver results as an individual contributor and a team lead
  • Familiar with Microsoft VISIO
  • Current SSBI with Polygraph
