Description

Acara Solutions is looking for an Component Engineer 4 for our Client located in Waltham, MA.
  • The Mechanical Design Engineer will contribute to product development by designing mechanisms and complex assemblies in collaboration with R&D engineers using latest toolsets and industry leading best practices.
  • You will contribute in realizing the next generation of interventional robotic platform.
  • This position will work with new and existing medical device products, generating CAD models, detail designs (in Solid Works), and creating drawings and BOMs.
  • This is a collaborative opportunity where you will work cross-functionally with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Manufacturing, and external vendors.
  • Contributes to mechanical and electromechanical CAD design of the new and existing products
  • Support R&D engineering needs, design updates, and refinement
  • Construct DMR/BOMs, prepare ECO"s and work with Document Control to implement
  • Provide detailed design drawings and annotated MBD models per prototype and production level engineering requirements.
Pay and Benefits:
  • The salary for this position is $ 50.00 per hour (Max Pay rate).
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate"s degree in Mechanical Design
  • Minimum of 5 years" experience in a CAD design and drafting position
  • Minimum of 5 years" experience in Solid Works PDM
  • Minimum of 5 years" experience with metal fabrication processes such as milling and turning,
  • Minimum of 5 years" experience in designing and dimensioning using the metric system and GD&T
  • Minimum of 5 years" experience in Document Control        

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Advanced Solid Works proficiency with demonstrated capability to produce complex parts and assemblies
  • Electromechanical design experience, working with Solid Works Electrical 2D and 3D
  • Experience in CAD design and drafting position especially in the Medical Device industry (or other regulated industry)
  • Creating and publishing MBD (Model-Based Design) models
