Description

Acara Solutions is looking for a Lean Continuous Improvement Project Manager for our Client located in Newark, DE.
  • Support Productivity Program at the Glasgow Mfg location.
  • This is a highly visible Project Management role that will be intimately involved in planning and executing a key initiative for our Supply Chain Cost Optimization program.
  • Apply lean and continuous improvement methods to identify productivity projects for the administrative and transaction-based processes.
  • Develop and implement a program level plan with key stakeholders to reduce effort and material costs associated with key work processes.
  • Lead workshops with stakeholder groups to identify improvement areas and developing the improvement plans.
  • Ensure program and project progress, identifying issues and working with stakeholders for solutions and reviewing with Senior leaders
  • Coaching and developing individuals and team on planning and improving Productivity in administrative and support functions
  • Leading Indirect Productivity Program - developing overall program plan, organization and tracking approach.
  • Facilitate workshops using lean and six sigma methodology to identify improvement areas and developing project level plans to deliver improvement.
  • Develop with stakeholders and driving Productivity Improvement plans for focus work areas
  • Establish and use project level tracking process to maintain program status view, identify issues and use to communicate progress.
  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration and cooperation
  • Implement necessary contingency and mitigation plans
  • Communicate effectively to key stakeholders
  • Escalate issues in a timely manner to assure expedited resolution
Pay and Benefits:                                                                                                    
  • The salary for this position is $ 65.00 per hour 
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience of managing projects and programs in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Have led Lean or Continuous Improvement Programs
  • Have used Program and Project Management to plan, organize and deliver results with key stakeholders and teams
  • Have improved Administrative, Transaction based or Information processes
  • Have excellent communication & presentation skills, demonstrate teamwork and have a good internal/external customer focus
  • Use data analytics to drive decision making
  • Drive positive results under tight deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • Lean or Six Sigma Background
  • Demonstrated leadership, with good listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Negotiation and influence management skills
  • Be able to work independently, be self-motivating, and act as a change agent
  • Proficiency with MS Project and MS Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Led a Productivity program for an Administrative or Transaction Based business and applied lean or Six Sigma approach
  • Industrial Engineer or Engineering Degree
  • PM Certification
  • Experience working in a regulated / FDA environment
Additional Information:
  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
