Acara Solutions is looking for an Operations Analyst for our client in Emeryville, CA
 
 
Meet Your Job
The Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting the Operations team for all analytical needs including, but not limited to, forecasting, cost modeling, procurement events, KPI creation and publication, reporting.  The Operations team includes the manufacturing of finished goods, blenders, freezers, and equipment parts.  As part of Client's operations team, this individual will work with internal cross functional groups, manufacturers, and suppliers.  This position is a temp to direct role that pays $48/hr ($100k/yr).
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support monthly financial forecasting requirements related to freight, warehousing, and SG&A
  • Assist in creation of annual freight and warehousing financial plan
  • Report monthly financials to Operations team and identify areas of potential productivity
  • Model and maintain a monthly COGS file to audit, analyze, and identify areas for cost savings
  • Development and definition of KPI"s where applicable
  • Work cross-functionally and identify possible vulnerabilities / risk in business process
  • Plan short-term and long-term data warehouse & business intelligence strategy
  • Provide analytics for facilitation of annual procurement event or any event where cost impact analysis is required (i.e. packaging and raw materials, equipment warehousing, manufacturing, transportation, third party warehousing)
  • Support data aggregation / clean up from vendor reports
  • Support annual production planning needs for finished goods
  • Assist in creation of annual scrap plan and reconcile scrap budget to accounting system on a monthly basis
  • Support ad hoc reporting requirements as needed for cross functional projects
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor"s degree in business related field, Master"s degree preferred
  • Minimum  5 years' of applicable work experience
  • Minimum 2 years' of experience in all MS office functions, other ERP and financial systems preferred
 
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Strong communication and follow up skills, both verbal and written
  • SAP experience a plus
  • Detail-orientated, analytical, and ability to multi-task and prioritize workload 
  • High sense of urgency, proactive, and a self-starter
  • Ability to work from home and meet deadlines, with minimal supervision
