Acara Solutions is seeking a motivated and experienced Material Handler to work in the warehouse of one of our clients in Alden, NY! This is a full time Monday-Friday 1st shift schedule. For immediate consideration, please apply today, as we are looking to fill this opening right away!

Pay rate- $17/hr
Schedule: 6:35am to 2:40pm M-F

The primary purpose of this position is to maintain the inventory levels within respective area. Coordinates the delivery, restock and inventory verifications of internal material requirements to ensure timely receipt of required material and efficient delivery of finished product to customers. 
Performs clerical and physical tasks for shipment and/or receipt of goods. May also perform assembly and/or inspection operations.
  • Adheres to company Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
  •  Performs various duties necessary to ensure that accurate and proper inventory levels are maintained for material, tooling and general supplies.
  • Organizes and maintains stock of direct materials and/or other components. Maintains chemical storage facility.
  • Prepares shipments and completes paperwork for outbound freight.
  • Routes incoming material to proper departments.
  • Reviews, documents, and checks incoming and/or outgoing shipment orders for accuracy.
  • Compiles and maintains computerized records such as material inventory.
  • Assists Operations planning by monitoring and verifying inventory levels and lost sequences and/or heat numbers.
  • Packages finished good materials and generates shipping orders to ensure delivery to customers. May package assemblies for shipment.
  • Participates in purchasing activities, ensuring material is received within the required time-frame to meet schedules; may include ordering products directly or indirectly from vendors.
  • Coordinates the gathering of components of inventory and documentation necessary to release the job to production, which can include tooling, fixturing, gaging, etc. and the various corresponding documentation necessary. Also ensures the prompt return of excess material, components and tooling.
  • May perform cycle counts on inventory classes and year end tasks associated with financial audits as well review of work area according to department audit sheet.
  • May be required to perform minor assembly functions, such as assembling component parts, performing minor set-up on machines, and visually and/or dimensionally inspecting parts and/or completed assemblies, etc. May also be required to complete corresponding documentation.
  • Timely and regular attendance.
  • Performs other functions as required.
Job Requirements


Required Skills / Qualifications: 
- High School Diploma or GED
- minimum 6 months of warehouse/material handling experience
