Description

Acara Solutions is looking for a Electronic Developer 4 for our Client located in Issaquah, WA.
  • Client is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Ultrasound imaging HW team in Issaquah, WA. 
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for detailed design modifications, updates, and Engineering level verification for a wide array of electronic hardware designs for Ultrasound systems across multiple product families.
  • Support of Legacy systems including End of Life/LTB, second sourcing, manufacturing and field failures.
  • Work with Service and Manufacturing Engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they occur in the field, and on the Manufacturing line
  • Manage external supplier relationships and technical issues related to vendor supplied HW assemblies. 
  • This primarily means building, and maintaining, technical relationships with vendors/suppliers and representing Client as a technical lead on external projects
  • Develop test specifications and act as the technical lead regarding Testing electronic subassemblies as they are applied as part of a larger system.
  • Develop, and release, design documentation such as, board level schematics, circuit designs, purchasing requirement specifications, used for product sustaining and improvements
  • Support PCB layout activities
  • Create and execute HW verification plans for both component and system designs
  • Participate in design integration activities with cross-functional engineering teams
  • Work closely with SW development teams to support integration of HW solutions
  • Hold detailed design reviews related to HW design modifications.
 
Pay and Benefits:
 The salary for this position is $61.00 per hour (Max Pay rate).
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • BSEE Degree
  • Minimum 5 years" experience with system wide HW responsibilities.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written, including Microsoft Word, communication skills
  • Experience designing analog and digital circuits
  • Drive Certifications and regulatory deliverables associated with System HW changes
  • Design Documentation and Process milestone management
  • Familiarity with schematic capture tools (Mentor DxDesigner)
  • Use test equipment in a lab environment to debug/test/verify board and System designs
  • Development experience with Embedded designs and related Communications protocols, [SPI, I2C, USB 3.0]
  • Experience with Failure analysis and Root Cause investigations of returned service replacement components
  • Capabilities related to Project and Defect management systems [JIRA, TFS, MS Project]
  • Knowledgeable of Regulatory and Certifications for HW components (RoHS, FCC, EMI/EMC)
  • A working knowledge of, and experience with medical device standards and requirements is a definite plus for this role.
  • Experience designing electronic circuits for medical devices.
  • Should be proficient with the Windows OS
  • CAPA/Risk Management / Quality management experience.
