Acara Solutions is looking for an Data Analyst for our Client located in Tarrytown, NY
  • Laboratory Data Manager will enter, format and process machine data into a software tool that will create an Access Database file for further visualization. 
  • The machine data is from medical device instruments including test name, test time stamp, test volume, instrument codes and machine settings. 
  • The visualization of the data aids laboratory consultants in determining operational performance of the instrumentation.
  • The files to be processed will be prioritized based on client criticality. 
  • Any questions or found errors will be triaged to a team of specialists to assist in error resolution before the processor can continue his/her processing of the data. 
  • Work with machine data
  • Sort machine files so that information is organized for processing
  • Consult with specialists to solve operational or data problems.
  • Prioritize work in line with client criticality
  • Follow instructions on data processing
  • Generate data retrievals and summaries
  • Query data inconsistencies and begin troubleshooting or triage with specialists for support
  • Track and report status and progress
Pay and Benefits:
  • The Salary for this position is $ 30.00 per hour (Max Pay rate).
Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in life science or medical laboratory medicine 
  • Minimum of 5 years" experience in medical technology/science
  • Minimum of 5 years" experience with laboratory data and analytics of test orders
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Transparency and good communication.
  • Laboratory Data Manager must have some familiarity with laboratory information system (LIS) data, have a laboratory medicine background, data analytics skills and familiarity with laboratory test names and abbreviations.
  • Organization skills Good positive leadership skills 
  • Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong commitment to ensure quality and timely deliverables
Additional Information:
  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Work hours will vary between 30-40 hours a week.
  • Must process the majority of the files between 8-4pm EST.
