Description

Acara Solutions is looking for a North American Payroll Senior for our Client located in Indianapolis, IN.
  • Assist payroll manager and supervisors to direct payroll team on daily payroll functions; Ensures that client complies with federal, state and local withholding (depositing and reporting) requirements including issuing timely and accurate pay checks, maintaining adequate records of all data and transactions, responding to supervisors and employee questions and resolving issues and assuring privacy of all payroll related records; releasing bank files and review of payroll analytical data.
  • Prepares a variety of statistical and other reports and assist of audit activities related to daily payroll processing, quarterly workers comp and other audit needs and ensures monthly GL reconciliations are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Contribution in all special projects as well as regular project-based work, such as assisting with audit and verification of Year-end forms process US and Canada (W2 / T4 / Rel1).
  • Assists with providing first line of support to payroll team to resolve process or technical problems.; Participates in measurement of performance including the collection of benchmark data, by reporting and tracking data related to the activities of the payroll and expense department for review.
  • Serves as a backup for the payroll processors, by stepping into the payroll cycle and performs other AdHoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor"s Degree in Finance/Accounting
  • Minimum 1 year in deadline driven environments.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of payroll experience or CPP designation in lieu.
  • Advanced knowledge with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Payroll Technical Skills
  • Ability to Work Remote or In Office
  • Able to communicate at a high level of aptitude and with all levels of employees; Excellent Communication Skills, Written and Verbal
  • Focus on customer
  • Team-oriented
  • Dealing with Ambiguity and assists in bringing clarity to unknown situations
