Description

Acara Solutions is looking for a Production Planning for our Client located in Clifton, NJ.
  • Planning and scheduling functions are involved with coordinating products and materials through various production phases. 
  • Implements planned production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements. 
  • Reviews schedules to determine materials and parts requirements to ensure materials are available according to plans.
  • The candidate will be a conduit between the program office and the Director of Operations for development, production, and spares/repairs activity.
  • Responsible for all projects assigned to the organizational unit with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Generate proposals, produce Estimates to Completes and drive day-to-day results.
  • Accountable for managing cost, schedule, and quality as related to functions within the Operations organization.
  • Directly participate in establishing and administering many centralized functional projects.
  • Lead and manage matrixed co-workers both within and external to Operations Directorate.
  • Using a working knowledge of MRP, the candidate will generate and maintain customer orders.
  • Guides subordinates or team members based on organizational goals and company policy.
  • Acts as an advisor to subordinate supervisors or staff members to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.
  • Exerts influence the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
  • Incorporate lean initiatives that drive cost savings.
 
Pay and Benefits:
The salary for this position is $32.25 per hour (Max Pay rate).
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with an MRP System.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with Generating and maintaining customer orders.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Active US Government Secret Security Clearance.
  • Experience with process improvement tools including Lean, Six Sigma with white/yellow/green belt.
  • Robust Tableau & Microsoft Office skills, highly proficient in Excel (e.g., Excel formulas, V-lookups, pivot tables), and talented in preparing tables, graphs, and charts.
  • Experience in a production manufacturing environment either as a production planner, master scheduler, demand planner, or supply planner
  • Experience in a repairs environment.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management peers and subordinates.
  • Solid results and goal/deadline-oriented work ethic, close attention to detail, and be flexible.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to develop and bring to completion multiple assignments concurrently.
