Acara Solutions is looking for an Automation and Controls Engineer  for our Client located in Newark, DE.
  • 12 month contract
  • The primary responsibilities of this position will be to work within a continuous improvement environment, to facilitate discussions with operations to identify sources of downtime and to configure OEE reports in a way that is meaningful and provides value.
  • In addition, this position will provide technical support to operations including troubleshooting complex automation and control problems, determining root cause and implementation of solutions to drive OEE improvement.
  • The position needs application of process control software design and support of automated medical diagnostic consumable device manufacturing equipment in a constantly changing fast-paced environment.
  • Manage multiple priorities successfully while working on multiple projects 
Pay and Benefits:                                                                                                    
  • The starting pay rate for this position is $50 per hour 
Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • At least a Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering 
  • Minimum of 10 years' of operations experience
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience with OEE and Performance Data collection systems.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience with Lean Manufacturing Systems, Equipment Reliability and Total Productive Maintenance methods

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

  • The ability to work in both new design and existing machine upgrades within a regulated environment is mandatory.
  • Self starting, excellent troubleshooting, communication, organization and prioritization skills are critical to success
  • Parsec TrakSYS application
  • Developing and supporting Rockwell control systems with RSLogix5 through Studio 5000
  • Developing and supporting Client control systems using TIA Portal
  • Wonderware InTouch for System Platform, Historian, Recipe Manager
  • The ability to work independently in a respectful team environment
  • Good oral and written communication skills, computer skills and good results orientation and drive to meet committed deadlines
