Description

Acara Solutions is looking for Technicians for the Help/Service Desk for our client on a long term contract opportunity. 
Rate: $19/hr 
 
Job description:
  • Help resolve technical problems and answers queries by telephone in support of internal and/or outside customer computer hardware, software, network, and telecommunications systems
  • Diagnoses, identifies, isolates and analyzes problems utilizing historical database records
  • May route calls to product line specialists
  • Maintains and updates records and tracking databases
  • Alerts management to recurring problems and patterns of problems
 
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • 2 years - Desktop Support experience
  • 2 Years - Software Installations and Troubleshooting
  • 2 Years - Strong Customer Service and Communications
  • Remote Support Experience / Working with customers that are remote, multiple locations, business areas and configurations
  • Service Now (or other related IT Service Management experience) - Managing Tickets, updating tickets, prioritizations
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment - All of the RDS team is working to close many remotely resolvable tickets quickly
  • Ability to Work independently and self manage work assignment
Preferred Skills
  • Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal, Reading & Written)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Internet Browser Troubleshooting Skills illustrated by related work experience
  • Knowledge of Network Troubleshooting Skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrated outstanding customer service skills and telephone etiquette
  • Proven self- starter, works effectively with little direct supervision
  • VPN/Remote Access Support experience
  • Blackberry support experience
  • Networking environments including wireless
  • PC/Technical Support service desk experience
  • ITSM Support experience and ITIL familiarity
  • Ability to successfully utilize Technical Troubleshooting Methodologies illustrated by work experience
  • Excellent Interpersonal and teaming skills illustrated by work experience
