Acara Solutions has an opening for an Manufacturing Engineer for an aerospace company located in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. 
Primary Responsibilities
Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
* Participates in the control / management of health / environmental controls and programs. * Evaluates reliability and quality performance with proper metrics and develops corrective actions as needed. * Develop, update and manage workplace safety programs, procedures and policies. * Works with Quality and Engineering to identify any failure trends and help drive root cause / corrective action initiatives. * Identifies, drives, and implements productivity projects amounting to cost savings equal to double the amount of his or her salary year over year.
Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
AA Degree or higher plus five years of related work experience preferably in an Aerospace/Military environment.
Minimum 5 years experience with complex electronic assemblies containing electronics, power supplies, cabling (wire wrapped assemblies), and intricate chassis"s in a small company environment - must be able to give specific examples and results.
Minimum 5 years experience and knowledge of environmental and occupational health and safety requirements. 
Minimum 5 years of in depth hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing including leadership of 5S, Kaizen events, and reducing wasteful processes - must be able to give specific examples and results.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
BS Degree in Engineering preferred
Experience dealing with high stress situations and handling many different projects at one time such as producing new product travelers, analyzing product/material failures, producing rework travelers, corrective action reports, creating detailed work instructions, document review and approval, choice of/design of assembly/test fixturing and tooling, and developing and maintaining the proper manufacturing product configurations - must be able to give specific examples and results.
