Aleron has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Risk Manager at our Williamsville, NY office. This is a full-time opportunity that comes with great benefits!
 
Job Summary:
This position supports the companies' risk management functions by actively managing all contract employee workers' compensation injury claims with the Third Party (claims) Administrator, assists in facilitating the renewal of the commercial insurance program, oversight of safety programs and other administrative duties.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Process employee injury incidents by verifying reported information and submitting claims to the insurance company
  • Develop and manage strategies to limit the loss exposures of workers' compensation claims.
  • Communicate regularly with branch office personnel to follow up on medical treatment and work status of workers' compensation claimants
  • Perform risk assessments of possible contractor placements of prospective customers per established risk tolerances
  • Evaluate insurance policy proposals for adequacy of coverage at the most advantageous cost
  • Assist with coordinating treatment of care with occupational medical facilities in various states to provide direct care for the injured workers 

Other Duties:
  • Assist Risk Manager with collecting annual insurance renewal information and completing insurance renewal applications
  • Assist Risk Manager with any administrative functions as needed
  • Comply and adhere to all ISO policies and procedures
  • Submit periodic reports to management as requested
  • Responsible for various other administrative duties as directed by Company 
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associates degree 
  • Minimum of 3 years of multi state WC claim adjustment experience
  • 1 year of experience in MS Word and Excel

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities
