 Acara Solutions is seeking an HR Generalist II for our client located in Fremont, CA.


HR Generalist
Contract to Hire - 70K - 85K annual salary range
Immeidate Need


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and administer human resources policies and procedures, including compliance with federal and state regulations, that cover two or more functional areas
  • Recruit for qualified applicants; conduct screening process; ensure completion of pre-employment requirements
  • Initiate process improvement by collecting and analyzing HR data, and making recommendations to management in functional areas of responsibility
  • Resolve employee relations issues by providing consultation to management and employees; take appropriate steps to facilitate resolution
  • Prepare internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, and/or company policies
  • Develop and present training sessions as required
  • Assess and make recommendations to improve communications programs for comprehensiveness, effectiveness and improvement opportunities 
  • Analyze the effectiveness of processes such as Performance Management (PIP), hiring, compensation, etc.
  • Evaluate reports and metrics for functional areas of responsibility in relation to department goals; develop action plans to address shortfalls and gaps
  • Participate in developing departmental goals and objectives
  • May lead or direct the work of others within the department
  • Work independently with minimal supervision



 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • 5-7+ years human resources or related work experience 
  • B.S. or equivalent work experience, or any combination of education and experience
  • PHR or other similar certification
  • Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:


  • In depth knowledge of two or more HR functional areas
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to coach, counsel, and mentor employees at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods and occasionally walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Desired Education, Certifications and Experience
