Acara Solutions is looking for an Administrative for our Client located in Princeton, NJ

  • This internship allows to explore the role of a team assistant within a research organization, as well as a learning opportunity in a variety of fields, including team and project processes, procurement, financial controlling, and efficient use of tools such as MS Excel, Confluence Wiki, MS SharePoint, Atlassian Jira.
  • Support the execution of basic administrative tasks, such as procurement, travel management, meeting scheduling, collecting and compiling input from multiple parties.
  • Support advanced administrative tasks, such as maintenance of excel sheets, project and action item controlling, documentation of meeting minutes, and meeting results in a Wiki, document maintenance.
  • Create a playbook for assigned tasks that documents how tasks are best performed and document any obstacles or issues that increase efforts or prevent tasks from being executed altogether.
  • Work with team members to develop strategies to best collect input, define the right process (focused on minimizing the administrative efforts for researchers and managers), document and test processes, resolve issues, test alternative approaches, and explore options for automation.

Pay and Benefits:

  • The Salary for this position is $ 25.00 per hour (Max Pay rate).
Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as Administrative
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Experience with IT administration
  • Experience with scripting (e.g., Excel Macros, Excel Visual Basic, SharePoint workflows, HTML, JavaScipt, Python Go, or others)
  • Prior experience as a team assistant 
  • Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written) 
  • Must be able to work independently, and communicate issues and obstacles early
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and Wikis (including proficiency in using basic text mark-up features), or convincing arguments of one's desire and capability to learn advanced use of these and similar tools.
