Acara Solutions Client is looking for a Data Architect to join their team located in Addison, TX.

As a member of the Enterprise Architecture team, you will be responsible to drive optimal data architecture that efficiently and effectively presents an integrated view of enterprise data for both operational and analytical business processes. Also serve as a leader guiding on data architecture decisions and solutions to business, technology and project teams. 

 · Works across business units and other enterprise groups to:
               · Define the target state data architecture, including data flow diagrams and global level data            domains.
               · Develops multi-year roadmaps for alignment to both business and technology target states.
               · Define consistent data definitions and standardization methodologies.
               · Rationalize systems and drive consistency within data platforms, technology services,              operational teams, and business analytics
· Leads a team of skilled data architects and engineers that enable data to meet the business insights and operational needs across the four divisions of the client.
 · Assists in evaluating buy vs build and vendor solution evaluation to optimize speed to insight, agility, maximize firm investment, manage total cost of ownership.
· Identify opportunities for common data standards and solutions across the enterprise, which span transactional, operational, and analytical platforms, collaborating within the architecture and development communities; Provide input in enterprise data strategy, identify technical solutions and capability gaps
· Supports the development of the enterprise data strategy as well as the business intelligence and analytics strategy, including rationalization and optimization of related tools and capabilities · Works collaboratively with colleagues within the Technology team, to deliver data use cases to meet business objectives
· Work with the Data Governance team to set data governance and stewardship guidelines and maturity models
· Build, develop and lead a high performing team that deliver business value and optimizes cost and speed to insight

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years technical experience in multiple, diverse technologies including cloud and processing environments including 4 years of data architecture experience
  • Have Data warehouse and Business Intelligence experience and in knowledgeable in various analytical modeling techniques
  • Experience with various data design patterns such as OLTP, ODS, OLAP, EDW, data marts and Big Data
  • Proven track record influencing diverse sets of stakeholders and driving common outcomes;
  • Experience with various forms multiple data warehousing methodologies and modeling techniques
  • Experience with various data integration platforms and technologies (data meshes, data fabrics, event logs, API gateways)
  • Experience in developing, transforming and delivering data strategies to enable big data, analytic and reporting capabilities, including self-service capabilities
  • Working knowledge of ETL design, SQL, Hadoop (Spark, Kafka, Hive, Hbase) and BI tools
  • Working knowledge of next generation data platforms including Streaming technologies, Kafka, Spark, NoSQL, Graph, Data Virtualization, and self-service data platforms
  • Working knowledge of architecture design concepts of Domain Driven Design (DDD), Event Streaming, and CQRS
  • Demonstrates the ability to provide technical leadership on large complex data integration projects
  • Demonstrates ability to balance tactical delivery with strategic vision and can articulate the tradeoffs and recommendations as needed
  • Demonstrates ability to provide strategic guidance and set guidelines for data architecture across entire enterprise including both business and technology groups
  • Experience with enterprise architecture governance models and concepts
  • Understands all domains of architecture and applies that knowledge to create data solution architectures to solve complex business problems that have a broad impact on the business
  • Experience defining and negotiating solution options while considering risks, costs, and impact on the enterprise business processes and goals
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and communication.
  • Experience mentoring and leading other architects or engineers
  • Outstanding verbal/written communication, collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
· Experience in the distribution, wholesales, or supply chain industries preferred.
· A keen understanding on how security controls are positioned and how they relate to the overall systems architecture.
· Experience with Cloud strategies with a focus on delivering data platform capabilities.
· Experience integrating with and incorporating No-Code / Low Code solutions into overall data strategy · Experience with Enterprise Architecture toolsets (LeanIX, Orbus, BizzDesign, etc. )
· Working experience with big data technologies and modern warehouse technologies (ex: Snowflake, Azure Data Lake Storage, Data Bricks, Talend, Synapse, AWS, HDInsight)
· TOGAF or other EA credentials a plus
