Acara Solutions has an opening for 2 Metrology Equipment Engineer for an semiconductor company located in Tualatin, OR.
Job Responsibilities
Metrology Equipment Engineer: First line of defense for basic recovery and troubleshooting of core metrology tools in a cleanroom, such as thin film measurement systems, particle detection tools, defect inspection, analytical instruments, microscopes, etcetera, including wafer sorters and robotics. 
  1. Supports metrology engineering activities such as SPC, experiments, data collection and continuous improvement projects. 
  2. Ability to work from minimal documentation relying on fundamental mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Interfaces with vendors when necessary. 
  3. Provides basic operational training for users. 
  4. Assists with inventory and stocking of spare parts. 
  5. Assists in maintaining organization of metrology areas. 
  6. Previous experience on wet bench/chemical and/or high vacuum experience a plus. 
  7. Flexibility required for shiftwork/compressed and on-call, as needed.
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of related work experience
  • Minimum 2 year solid mechanical, electrical or optical aptitude
  • Semiconductor experience
  • Associates degree or military experience in technical field

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • BS degree or advanced technical degree
  • Knowledge of semiconductor metrology techniques
  • PC knowledge, w/ familiarity of a variety of operating systems
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite Products; Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Customer Service Oriented
  • Teamwork Attitude
