Acara Solutions is looking for a System Engineer for our Client located in Tarrytown, NY.

  • Client is seeking a responsible, professional and self-motivated individual to support Laboratory Automation products in In-Vitro Diagnostics area.
  • Technical product support
  • Develop product knowledge including system workflows and interactions between the software, mechanical and electrical components
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware issues at customer sites or remotely
  • Read logs, apply standard troubleshooting tools and concepts
  • Document customer complaints and actions taken to resolve the concern
  • Develops recommendations that reflect customer and Client business needs.
  • Software and hardware design changes
  • Perform product maintenance and configuration
  • Execute software and hardware upgrades
  • Conduct acceptance and integration testing of new software and hardware releases
  • Understand testing methodologies
  • Create and executes test cases / protocols
  • Create verification plan and reports
  • Evaluate potential risks associated with the new releases and develop test protocols to identify those risks
  • Support design and implementation of new software and hardware components
  • Support creation of documents like product and technical manuals
  • Performs and documents Risk Assessments

Pay and Benefits:                                                                                                   

  • The salary for this position is $ 83.00 per hour (Max Pay rate).
Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in engineering disciplines such as Software, Electrical or Systems Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Software or Systems or Electrical engineering field

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Engineering Change Control:
  • Understand the process of Engineering Change Control
  • Ability to drive a design change through Engineering Change Control process
  • Experience with SAP
  • Good problem-solving skills leveraging known methodologies such as fault tree, fishbone, 5 why and others
