Description

Acara Solutions is looking for a Back Office Support Operator for our Client located in Houston, TX.

  • Position will specifically be in the area of Spare Parts.
  • The Spare Parts team takes orders from customers for all of the Gas Chromatograph Spare Parts.
  • Orders/PO's are received in various ways; i.e. by email, fax, phone, portals, etc. A quick turnaround time is required in this position.
  • PO's received are to be entered in SAP system within 1 - 3 business days of receipt of PO.
  • The Spare Parts team is also responsible for providing price quotes to internal and external customers.
  • Candidate will support the entire sales order cycle for incoming PO's received for Gas Chromatograph Spare Parts.
  • This position could support our external domestic orders that come in and are processed manually and/or internal affiliates orders that come in via EDI.
  • Checking availability of spare parts and working with Material Planner and Procurement to ensure parts are available
  • Answering Customer questions and complaints
  • Guiding customers to ensure they are getting the right parts
  • Answer incoming calls from 1-800 customer line
  • Monitor orders to ensure shipments are pushed out where there is inventory on hand, working closely with the warehouse
  • Process return requests and ensure the return requests meet a 5-day turnaround
  • Answer incoming group email requests that come from internal and external customers (checking status of orders, changes to orders, etc.)
  • Review for completeness on all incoming PO's and manage the order from beginning to end (including any customer disputes of invoices)
  • Price Quoting

Pay and Benefits:                                                                                                   

  • The salary for this position is $ 27.00 per hour (Max Pay rate).
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Industry/business acumen

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree
  • Work experience (5 years); international experience
  • SAP (especially around Sales Order processing)
  • Procurement / Invoicing portals (e.g. Ariba, GEP, Actian.)
  • EDI experience
  • Microsoft office
