Acara Solutions is looking for an Engineering Technician for our client located in Louisville, KY.

  • 1st Shift 7 AM - 4 PM
  • Assists circuit design on non-complex projects.
  • Generate tags from circuits; provide detailing of circuits; check tag lists.
  • Answer detail questions concerning circuits from wiring personnel and troubleshoot problems in electrical circuits
  • Perform detail check of circuits, Bill of Material, and wiring detail on projects.
  • Check all Bill of Materials and resolve related issues.
  • Perform factory testing of equipment after shop production, update CADD drawings, and create new drawings.
  • Perform breakdown testing and operational testing for locations before shipments to field.
  • Perform factory inspection of finished equipment working with customers.
  • Modify design drawings using CADD or Drafting Standards
  • Supports and maintains test equipment in designated test areas.
  • Constructs test fixtures in support of unit and system test.
  • Effectively identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is more difficult and complex.
  • Refers only most complex, unusual problems to others
  • Record accurate production and traceability information
  • Complete equipment set-up/changeover configurations


Pay and Benefits:                                                                                                   

The pay rate for this position is $27.00 per hour.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • At least an Associate degree or Two-year technical certification training in electrical engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Engineering Technician
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with CADD (AutoCAD/MicroStation) and reading electrical schematics or blueprints. 
  • Experience in factory or field environment using electrical tools, measurements and wiring circuits.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Available to work a standard weekly schedule with overtime as required 
  • The employee will be required to carry and climb ladders, carry, and pull spools of wire and hang equipment on racks 
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds (with machine assistance).
  •  Standing, bending and reaching for long periods of time.
