ACARA Solutions and our client located in Boulder, CO has a long term 12+ month contract available and is looking for a Desktop Technician
$16/hr+ DOE
Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work on-site Boulder, CO for one of our customers in an end user support capacity providing exceptional customer service. Our Desktop Technicians will perform a variety of duties in support of end users for IT hardware and/or software. Under general supervision, this position may require collaboration with technical and managerial staff. Work methods and/or sequence of work is governed by oral/written instructions and established procedures. This role will be working in the Warehous/Deployment Center assisting with transporting/setting up equipment for new hires, refreshes, imaging, and basic help desk support. Will require driving to the various sites. 
Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • 2 year demonstrating professional desktop support history with a variety of platforms / systems / applications and tools to include Operating system expertise - Windows, Unix/Linux, Apple, Network protocol and Image loading protocol
  • 2 year experience with refresh and imaging
  • Clean driving record
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Evaluates and tests software programs to verify functionality according to specifications and standards
  • Demonstrates excellent Customer Service
  • Install and configure network devices (i.e. network printers, scanners, plotters, PCs, etc.). Troubleshoot problems with network printing and scanning devices. Perform data termination/ activation in telecommunication closets aka network connect (activation of data drops).
  • Repair and replace data connectors on network cables and data drops.
  • Assist in the relocation of customer employees on the facility (move PCs and activate data drops in new location).Troubleshoot network issues with PCs and LAN (duplex mismatches, duplicate IPs, corrupt firewall software, proxy configuration issues, etc.)
  • Assist with imaging of laptops and PCs for deployment.
