Acara Solutions is looking for a AP Accounting Assistant for our Client located in Spartanburg, SC.

  • AP Accounting Assistant
  • Client is a global manufacturer specializing in highly engineered, complex and severe environment products that serve long-term, high growth infrastructure markets, including oil and gas, power generation and aerospace and defense.
  • The Accounts Payable Accounting Assistant will be a key member of the Client Corporate Shared Services Finance Department and is expected to maintain accounts payable functions and document management software for assigned groups, which will ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.
  • This position is responsible for processing invoices, processing of credit memos, maintaining receipts not invoiced reports, checking and distribution of mail daily, maintaining incoming the electronic invoice program.  
  • The position reports directly to the Corporate Accounts Payable Sr. Finance Manager.  
  • Monitoring and update incoming electronic invoice program daily.
  • Data entry input of accounts payable invoices for home office and other groups as needed.
  • Preform payment runs and wire processing for home office.
  • Answer emails and inquiries for home office accounts.
  • Check and distribute mail daily.
  • Assists with acquiring account statements for various groups.
  • Researching receipts not vouchered and clearing for various groups.
  • Communicates with internal customers and external vendors.
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year of accounts payable experience.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with computer programs for electronic document management.
  • written and verbal communication skills a must.
  • interpersonal and professionalism skills a must.
  • Pays attention to detail.
  • A team player and self-starter.
  • Experience with multiple ERP systems helpful

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Deadline focused and can work under tight timelines; must be able to work overtime on occasion.
