Description

Acara Solutions is looking for a Procurement Engineering Prof. 3 for our client located in Flanders, NJ.
  • You will operate as procurement representative on cross functional teams (R&D, QA, Supply Chain Manufacturing, New Product Development) with the responsibility to deliver a strategically aligned supply chain
  • You will drive and manage key procurement projects such as supplier transfers focusing on Metal fabrication parts
  • You will drive design to cost, DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) activities with suppliers and design teams
  • You will execute request for quotations, supplier selection, and material tracking process to support the pre-production builds for new product development projects.
Pay and Benefits:

  • The Salary for this position is $45.00 per hour (Max Pay rate).
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in medical device, automotive, aerospace, or related field
  •  Minimum 1 year experience working in a new product development, Strategic procurement or manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • You have strong collaboration, persuasion/influencing, and project management skills, and the ability to drive supplier change projects on a cross-functional basis
  • You understand various supplier manufacturing technology and processes, supplier controls and industry standards. 
  • Having specialist knowledge of metal fabrication/machining would be an advantage
  • You have proven negotiation and influencing skills with suppliers, with demonstrative results in securing competitive pricing and overall terms and conditions
  • You demonstrated experience establishing strong business relationships with suppliers and influencing decisions
  • You have excellent oral communications and business writing skills
  • You have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and quality related documents
