Acara solution is looking for Aeronautical Flight Test Engineer (FTE) Specialist for our client located in Waco, TX

  • Responsible for coordinating the daily flight test effort.
  • Will be involved with all aspects of flight testing including preparation of FAA certification or military test plans and reports to approved formats and development of the test sequence and test cards for each flight.
  • Additional duties include planning, coordinating, and conducting of performance, handling qualities, structural, and other tests to verify aircraft airworthiness, coordination with the flight crew, instrumentation, maintenance, engineering, and inspection representatives to insure the aircraft is properly configured to meet test objectives.
  • Ensures onboard and telemetry data has been retrieved and processed for posting to the test database and network folders, he processes and coordinates test requests and manages all flight test generated documentation.
  • Also participate as an on-board flight test engineer or as the Telemetry Room Test Conductor to support real time test safety-of-flight monitoring and data acquisition.

Pay and Benefits:                                                                                                    

  • The salary for this position is between $35.00and 40.00 per hour (Max Pay rate).
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelors' Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 4 years' Aerospace engineering experience.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Have Flight Test engineering experience.
  • Have experience in basic Microsoft Office software applications including Word and Excel.
  • Be able to pass FAA Class III Flight physical.
