Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Manager primary responsibilities include managing all activities related to the DEI mission and programming for the organization, which is committed to engaging traditionally underrepresented populations in the high-growth entrepreneurship arena, including founders, investors, and other key ecosystem roles. Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, the Manager researches, organizes, plans, delivers, monitors, and refines programming and policy matters working with the internal team. Secondary responsibilities include supporting other organizational functions related to finance, fundraising, grants administration, outreach and marketing, partner and vendor engagement and management, and related projects.

Major Functions:
  • Assist President and CEO and Fund Manager in strategic planning, modeling, and development of the organizations  DEI policies, initiatives, and programming, including current programming
  • Management of:
  • Development and administration of DEI initiatives, including operational processes, lead generation and  portfolio management for participants where applicable, and other related duties for DEI initiatives.
    1. Market research and budgeting for DEI initiatives.
    2. Digital and in person events supporting programming.
    3. Ecosystem partner and DEI funder relationships.
    4. Documentation related to DEI initiatives.
    5. Digital tool content
    6. Development, refinement, and reporting related to DEI initiatives.
  • Coordinate with internal personnel to support organizational needs in finance, accounting, grants administration, IT and CRM systems, fundraising, marketing, Entrepreneur-in-Residence and related programming, and other areas
  • Coordinate with partner organizations and ecosystem activities and events.
  • Develop and manage partner and vendor relationships with direction of reporting manager.
  • Provide reporting on all functions to President and CEO and as assigned.
  • Manage personnel and contractors as assigned by President and CEO.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by President and CEO.
Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Three years' experience in relevant roles in DEI initiatives. 
  • Three years' experience demonstrating project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Two years' experience in managing budgets.
  • Two years' experience delivering programming through in person and virtual platforms. 

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Experience in supporting administration of entrepreneurship, financing and/or business assistance programs.
  • Experience implementing and using CRM software systems.
