Description

Acara Solutions is looking for an Incoming Material Inspector for our client located in Wilton, CT.

  • Inspect products and materials for defects or deviations from product specifications.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and inputting data into database0
  • Assist in setting up tooling cabinets and benches.
  • Communicate inspection status and deliveries with other departments.
  • Maintain area in neat fashion in accordance with 5S principles.
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High school or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Incoming Material Inspector
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and proper use of hand measurement tools and inspection techniques.
  • Familiarity with Mechanical drawings.
  • Knowledge of SAP a plus.
  • Knowledge of metrology equipment a plus.
  • Strong skills working with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to move material with a pallet jack.
  • Ability to physically handle packages under 30 pounds independently.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. 
  • The employee may occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, colour vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Can work under deadlines.
  • The environment generally is moderate in temperature with moderate to high noise level.
  • Must be willing to work a compressed work week schedule - twelve-hour long shift and rotating from three to four days a week.  
  • This must include references today and night shifts for accommodation purposes.

  • Working around lasers; working with ladders; working on platforms; and working around chemicals. 
  • The employee is occasionally required to move around the campus.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. 
  • May require travel dependent on company needs.  
  • The environment generally is moderate in temperature and noise level.
