The automated coding system group provides automated coding and marking solutions (various digital coding technologies) for our core business market the forestry, construction and general packaging industry to our North American customer base.
We are looking for a positive, pro-active and hands-on, individual. That will contribute to add value to our products and customers operations.
This role is split into three major categories:
- In shop inkjet repairs & support,
- Assist projects manager in projects preparation and testing,
- Field commissioning - Travel outside Canada is required (approx. 3 - 4 times a year)
About the Position:
- Perform, repair and testing on printing systems (such as inkjet).
- Participate actively in tests performed according to customer project specification using hand tools, power tools or precision instruments
- Perform project Q.C. checkout procedures and troubleshoot any issues founds.
- Provide customer training once on-site commissioning is completed
- Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Read and interpret engineered drawings and equipment specifications
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience with inkjet coding and marking systems.
- 3 years of experience in technical support and troubleshooting
- Basic industrial networking notions to integrate our systems in customer process and communication protocols.
- Experience using printing software to set up jobs and configure the system.
- Exposure to basic scanning and vision systems.
- basic experience with PLC Programming Logic (Allen Bradley)
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, pneumatics, PLC, Excellent teamwork, communication and customer relations skills
