Description
Acara solutions is looking for Test Technician/Engineer for our client located in Dallas,TX
- Participation in project contract review to assist in identifying relevant contractual quality requirements.
- Identify and document discrepancies between contractual quality requirements and current capabilities.
- Recommend solutions to any identified discrepancies (man/method/material) to bring project into contractual compliance if/as/where needed.
- Develop measurement specifications as/where needed to meet contractual quality requirements.
- Source and recommend equipment capable of meeting contractually needed specifications or requirements.
- Review and approve test system procedures and processes.
- Investigate quality problems and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
- Facilitate the completion of defective material investigation and corrective action reports if/as needed.
- Assist in failure investigation - assisting with documentation of root causes, communication of final resolution, corrective actions and training where/as applicable to incident.
- Review and approve assigned Engineering Changes and ensure implementation into test methods, equipment, procedures, or other documentation as be applicable.
- Test and inspect low to medium voltage wire, cable, and cable assemblies.
- Have a functional capability to read, interpret, and follow electrical schematics and mechanical drawings as be needed.
- Uses drawings or specifications to create test programs for automated test equipment.
- Reviews new testing requirements and recommends new equipment to expand testing capabilities.
- Work with purchasing and suppliers to identify and purchase new equipment as it is identified and required.
- Participate in customer meetings.
- Prepare and submit test reports.
- Implement and utilize continuous improvement methodologies to drive product/system improvements.
- Create test work instructions for various products.
- Provides test process training to other employees.
Pay and Benefits:
- The Salary for this position is between $ 28.84 and $ 31.25 per hour (Max Pay rate).
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Diploma in electronics or electrical engineering technology
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Lean Six Sigma not needed but would be considered an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Quality Engineer/Technician or equivalent position.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Manufacturing Quality Systems such as AS9100, AS9102 and PPAP through past work history.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in operate and use electronic test equipment such as (but not limited to): TDRs, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Megohmmeters, Fiber Optic testers, and various other equipment used to test product.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to manage ITAR projects as
- Experience in basic programming/scripting
- Electrical Testing experience
- Experience with Contracts and Documentation to extract the necessary requirements
- Ability to work in teams and influence decisions based on facts and process thinking.
- Excellent English communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of data management systems, databases and statistical tools.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to work independently
- Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple and changing priorities.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook
- Possess capability to operate and use electronic test equipment such as (but not limited to): TDRs, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Megohmmeters, Fiber Optic testers, and various other equipment used to test product.
