Department: Production/Sales
Direct Reports: Plant Supervisor, Office Manager
Reports To: Vice President / National Operations Manager

Job Summary: Oversees and is accountable for the sales, production, and operations of a manufacturing facility. Plans, organizes, directs and controls manufacturing operations which includes supervision, sales/marketing including customer service satisfaction and customer relations, production/operations management, quality, shipping/receiving, purchasing, branch administration, accounting which includes invoicing, human resources, health and safety, and janitorial services.

Production and Operations:
* Works with National Operation Manager to lead, guide, supervise, and motivate team members in the performance of the function of Production and Operations. Engages in team building activities; ensures teamwork, relationship-building, and information sharing.
* Plans the establishment of and manages the branch budget.
* Works with National Operations Manager to plan, manage and control production schedules to fulfill current or forecasted orders for manufactured products/parts and to efficiently use materials, labor, and equipment to meet production targets.

Sales and Marketing:
* Makes consultative sales and marketing in-person and telephone calls on all Company accounts; including supportive and non-supportive customers, related to the industry. Builds the customer relationship by quickly establishing trust, credibility, integrity, and comfort; and by demonstrating dignity and respect. Positively relates to and responds to customer challenges and objections.
* Secures and develops new accounts through networks and market interaction within established territory. Makes cold and networking calls, and presentations with potential customers. For continued growth in this region, new accounts need to be generated every per month.
* Review of comparative sales is required every month. Monthly action plan and corrective steps to be discussed with Vice President.
 
Job Requirements

 

Experience and Technical Skills Required:
* Five years of progressive managerial experience, sales, or marketing field, preferably in a product manufacturing setting is necessary for success in this role. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
* Advanced communication and listening skills; both oral and written, to communicate clearly and persuasively. Able to attentively and actively listen and has patience to ask data-gathering questions to ensure understanding congruence.
* Sales, marketing, and customer service skills to promote products, close sales, and maintain customer relations.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, which involves the ability to effectively interact with persons at all levels of the organization and for team-building purposes is required.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve human resource and production resource challenges

Education and Knowledge Required:
* A Bachelor's university degree or college diploma, experience in Production and Operations, Engineering, Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
* Knowledge of the consultative selling process (i.e., the building of long-term customer relationships).
* Knowledge of Company products and product lines (will train).
* Knowledge of computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook. Proficiency in Windows based applications.
