Acara Solutions is seeking an electro-mechanical technician in Folsom, CA!
Day to day responsibilities include:
  • Experience with chip-and-wire processes per MIL-STD-883, and solder processes per J-STD-001 is necessary. 
  • Develop, optimize and control manufacturing assembly processes, tooling/fixturing and equipment for low volume / high mix production.
  • Develop workflow and plan for equipment, procedures to increase efficiency
  • Introduce innovations in production and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Provide training to make sure processes and equipment are used effectively
  • Manage equipment maintenance and mechanical emergencies
  • Design shop floor for most efficient and productive layout
  • Revamp machine design to business's unique production needs
  • Address production and product issues. Both electrical and mechanical
  • Define and implement cost savings and safety initiatives
  • Carry out formal and timely manufacturability (DFM/DFT) review on all new products
  • Provide process documentation and operating instructions
  • Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for Supervisors and work center to monitor key production processes
Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or related technical field with knowledge in the application of basic engineering principles, theories, and techniques
  • Minimum of 5+ year's relevant manufacturing experience. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes, including assembly and testing of Hybrid Thin film assemblies
  • Knowledge of process related standards, ex: J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, MIL-STD-883, NASA 8739.1 etc.
  • Hands on experience with electro-mechanical troubleshooting
