Acara Solutions is Hiring an Accounts Payable Coordinator in Silver Spring, MD. This is a direct hire permanent position!

Schedule: Monday-Friday/ 8:30am-5:00pm. Hybrid- Work From home 3 days a week and in office 2 days.

· The AP Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Finance team through processing invoices for proper coding and preparing them for payment
· This position processes a high volume of invoices approx. 40 per day
· Additionally, this role is interactive with correspondence with our vendors and the office Manager
· Review, enter, and code invoices in the paperless accounting invoice system
· Work in conjunction with other members of finance department to ensure invoices are posted in the proper accounting period.
· Execute cash disbursements for paper and electronic payments in accordance with policies and procedures.
· Prepare vendor credit applications as well as maintain internal center credit information documents
· Ensure all necessary 1099s are issued timely and accurately per IRS guidelines.
· Ensure all necessary use tax is accounted for on related invoices and assist with preparation of related use tax filings
· Effectively communicate with outside vendors to resolve any invoice or payment issues

Pay Rate:  $21.00/hr plus eligible for overtime and annual bonus 
Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
· 1-2 years of recent AP experience
· Proficient in MS Excel using basic functions of sort and sum
· Experience using a financial software tool

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
· Associates Degree
